FREE TO ENTER
After the selection process if you are one of the artists selected to participate in the Swansea exhibition you will be required to pay a £25 exhibitions fee which will directly feed straight back into the set up, catalogue and prize costs. Beep and elysium gallery are not-for-profit, artist-led organisations. For information on income generated and expenditure on previous Beep exhibitions click HERE The Beep Painting Prize is a biennial open submission painting exhibition based in Swansea, Wales and welcomes entries from UK & International artists. We will accept entries only by email. There are two selection processes, firstly 3 judges will choose the shortlisted artists for the Beep 2020 exhibition and once the exhibition is up will choose a winner that will be announced at the opening night on Friday 2nd October 2020. The selection process is anonymous with the judges choosing the works specifically from the submitted images without looking at artist names, websites and biographies. The Main Prize winner will receive £1000 and a solo exhibition with elysium gallery, Swansea to take place in 2021. Beep 2020 will also be the centre point to a series of city wide painting exhibitions, events and residencies forming a festival of contemporary painting. More TBA soon. |
BEEP 2020 IS NOW CLOSED FOR ENTRIES
Submissions information: Please email submissions to [email protected] and include your name in the subject heading. Successful artists will be notified shortly after the deadline date of 18th April 2020. Email proposal must include: - Name, address and contact details of painter - Where you heard about Beep 2020 (name of magazine, website, etc.) - 250 words maximum statement (Word document or in an email) on the submitted painting(s) and a brief artist biography (this will be used for publicity purposes if chosen). - Link to your website ***** The above must be submitted either in your email or in just one Word document! ****** - A submission of up to TWO paintings (high quality JPEGS) labelled in this format: Surname, first name/s, title of painting, dimensions in cm, medium, year |

Additional information:
- Each artist can submit up to two pieces of work and can include triptychs, diptychs, 3D and installations
- Submitted digital images of the paintings must be 300dpi, minimum 800 pixels wide, maximum 3MB in JPEG format
- Each painting/triptych/diptych cannot exceed 2m in height and 4m in length
- All insurance for work while in transit and during the exhibition must be covered by the artist
- Successful applicants will be informed of the drop off/delivery days for work after the submissions deadline. Unsuccessful applicants will be informed by email.
